David Canterbury first starting posting videos on YouTube back in 2009. His first short films being about his 'Pathfinder System'. A series of training videos about Self-reliance and Survival techniques. He also offers reviews of and comments on various products on his YouTube channel. Introducing the world to the '5 C's of Survivability' and several series on the many aspects of Survival, Canterbury has built up a following of over 300,000 subscribers, regularly getting 50,000 views a week to his latest uploads. Through his successes on YouTube, Dave has been able to establish the 'Pathfinder Survival school' in Indiana, has become a renowned author of various Survival Books and provides a range of branded survival tools and equipment to customers throughout the world. Most remarkably through is Canterbury's rise from 'Social Media poster' to' TV Star' after being asked to be one of the founding 'hosts' of Discovery Channel's 'Dual Survival' TV show. A programme that reaches an audience of around 1.5 Million viewers each week.

Starting with just a fairly basic digital video camera, Dave and others like him, have used the power of the Internet to harness a global following who are keen to learn from his knowledge and experience as a 'Northern Woodsman'. His success demonstrates that by providing the right kind of information through the internet to an eager customer base, great success can be achieved. What Canterbury and his like have been successful at is not 'selling to an audience'. He provides 'free content' to his audience. He has become a noted authority on 'Survival-ism' and it is this that he is able to trade on. When Dave Canterbury says 'This is a great product!', sales of said item increase dramatically. 'Personal Branding' has become the key words of many a successful 'Internet Entrepreneur' and there are opportunities for the 'Every man' amongst us, to grow themselves into a global entity capable of developing strong relationships with like-minded people across the globe able to endorse and promote products and services which others may deem useful.
